The promoters of Yakima Speedway, South Sound Speedway, Ephrata Raceway Park, Port Angeles Speedway, Stateline Speedway, and Spokane County Raceway have announced the formation of a traveling Street Stock series for 2011. The series is being called the West Coast Promoters Street Stock Series and will feature 8 events in 2011.

The series will visit Yakima Speedway April 9th and 10th for the Apple Cup, Ephrata Raceway Park for the Historic Spud Cup on May 7th. The series moves to the beautiful Olympic peninsula for a June 11th date at Port Angeles Speedway which will be a Canadian American Challenge race.


The Series moves back to Yakima July 3rd for the Third Annual Washington Street Stock Open. July 16th will find the group in Idaho at Stateline Speedway then on to Spokane County Raceway for an Aug. 13th date.


South Sound Speedway will host the penultimate race for the series on Labor day weekend featuring The Fifth Annual Dennis Smitham Memorial Race; The largest stand alone Street Stock race on the West Coast. The Series will culminate with the 24th annual Fall Classic at Yakima Speedway October 1st and 2nd.


This Series is open to all V8 powered Street Stock type cars and will run the Goodyear D2862/D2863 Tires on 8 inch Steel wheels. The "Home Track Legal Tire" is also approved for all events. All general safety rules will be enforced. Rules guidelines will follow the Fall Classic Open rules with a few minor changes. 3100# 55%left side wt, Steel Stock appearing roof and quarter panels, stock or five star type noses and bumper covers; no dirt style noses. Minimum wheelbase is 101". No engine setback, #1-spark plug in line with lower ball joints. Firewall in stock location, matching fore and aft frames year and model, wheelbase to match year and model. Shocks in stock location, coupled with a 75$ each shock claim. All motors larger than 360 cubic inches will be required to run the Holly 4412 2-barrel, 360 and smaller allowed maximum 750 cfm Holly 4-barrel. Sealed 602 and 604 crate engines will be allowed with no weight break. Ride height is 5" without driver. Stock transmissions, this is a Street Stock Class; there are all kinds of places to run Late Models. Stock suspension, stock cast iron calipers, no quick changes.


All 75 lap mains will be minimum $750 to win with a minimum $125 to start. Purse is based on a 21 car field. Points will be awarded towards a season championship with awards and a points fund. Fall Classic and Smitham memorial will have larger purses.
