I just wanted to take a moment and let all my family, friends, sponsors and of course the Nascar race fans know what is going on with my racing career. In recent weeks contracts have been confirmed for me to drive for a well established race team based out of Ontario.
A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. is fully supporting this move and they will continue to be my primary sponsor for the entire 2011 Nascar Canadian Tire Series and beyond. We will be holding a press conference January 22, 2011 at the "Canadian Motorsports Expo" in Toronto www.canadianmotorsportsexpo.com
I would like to take this opportunity to thank some VERY important people that have helped me climb this mountain to the top level of auto racing in Canada. For the past 7 years my driving and management duties have been for "RZ Racing" (Rob Zimmer Racing). Rob and I have been partners in this venture through our Cascar days and onto the Nascar Canadian Tire Series, along the way capturing "Rookie Of the Year" titles in both Cascar and Nascar series. It has been a huge success for us and the "Zimmer Wheaton" hot rod has traveled from coast to coast promoting many sponsors and marketing partners along the way. Rob, I value the business like manner we approached this venture with, and more than that the friendship our families have made. I will promote the Zimmer Autosport group forever.
RZ Racing is not folding in any way, Rob has just recently had a Camaro Street Stock built by two of the most decorated individuals in Canadian Motorsports history. Burns Motorsports (Bill Burns) and Don Thomson Jr have spent the last few months putting together one of the nicest race cars I have ever seen. Rob and possibly his son Bowen will pilot this awesome piece in various races at Motoplex Speedway and other tracks in the Interior of British Columbia, under the RZ Racing banner. We still own Nascar race cars and at this time they are for sale, but we are open to any interested parties for rental programs, and you could very well see my brother Jimmy in an RZ Racing- Zimmer Wheaton Nascar for a select few races in 2011, including the "A&W 300" July 23 @ Motoplex Speedway in Vernon.
Along the way there have been some extremely key people that have had the faith in our programs and the insight to see value in motor sports marketing. People like Wyatt Mcmurray (A&W), Paul Toporowski (Re-Max), Tim Hildebrandt (Kal-Tire), Roger Barnes (A&W), David Waterfall (A&W), Bob Newcombe and the Motoplex speedway staff, Bill Burns (Burns Motorsports), Castrol, Praxair Kamloops, Douglas Lake Equipment, Aloft Montreal Airport, Strathcona Hotel, Ideal Products, Pure Country Meats, Mike and Allan at Mccoll Racing enterprises, DJ Kennington Racing, Underwraps Advertising Solutions, Dave Whitlock and of course my Dad (Marty).
Sacrifices have been made by a lot of people including, my lovely wife Melissa (thank you), my Kids (Quinn, Jaida and Ryder) and the very dedicated group of guys that flew back and forth across this country and made a big statement saying "YES WE CAN", silencing all the critics that fueled our fire by saying "There is just no way it can be done".........DONE!!!! A huge thanks to you guys, Brian Uptigrove, Billy Morrison, Logan White, Cory Donald, Fred Ayers, Mike Ernst, Jon Willan, Jake and Judy Goetz, Gary Hammond, John Ibbey, Al Hunka, Geoff Johnson, Randy Kozak, Rob Serrit, Jerry Serrit, Heath Serrit, Tyler Case, Don Gagnon, Buckshot, Edmond, Lorne Chisolm, Brian Cathcart, Brian Ellis, Jeremy Riopelle, Jason Bowden, Jack Mcleod, Brian Ellas, Ben Atkins, Mike Uptigrove, Greg Hilliard, John Hecimovic, Doug Poutanen, John Poirier, and many others. All the money or sponsorship in the world means nothing without good people behind you, and all of these people made huge family sacrifices to be there and I will be forever grateful. We sure have some good stories to tell, some of them without children around!!

So that is it in a nut shell, look for the press release January 22nd to announce the next chapter in a career that has been nothing but awesome!!!! My tasks will now be to drive the race car and promote marketing partners!
