Max Dolder Photo/HardcoreRaceFans.com Four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon is spending much of this Super Bowl weekend testing with the No. 24 Chevrolet team at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Gordon and his Hendrick Motorsports crew are making preparations for qualifying at Daytona on February 13th in addition to tweaking for the Subway 500 at Phoenix on February 27th.
The one-mile Pikes Peak Raceway, formerly a stop on the Nationwide Series circuit, offers similarities to Phoenix International Raceway that allows Gordon to test various setups as his Hendrick team prepares for the second date on the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule.
Gordon's test session in Fountain, Colorado began Friday and is planned to be completed Saturday afternoon.
