Youngest Canadian Ever at West Coast Nationals Outlaw Karts

Submitted by Jason Silliker

Benjamin Silliker is now in the record books for the youngest Canadian to ever compete at the West Coast Nationals for Outlaw Karts in this his age 5 season.  Ben attended and competed on March 10th and 11th in Red Bluff, California with over 40 competitors in his class age 5-8 with a total of over 350 outlaws in all classes.  Ben and his Team Silco Race Team were able to shave over 4 seconds off their original qualifying time by the 2nd day  in order to qualify 22nd.  This was a learning experience for Ben and his team as for the quality of competition they faced.  Ben has now returned to his home in Grande Prairie, Alberta where the team will prepare to race throughout Alberta and British Columbia for the 2011 season.  Ben has also been invited to join one of the most experienced Karting teams for the 2011 indoor winter season in Red Bluff, CA.
