Kimi Raikkonen, the 31-year-old former Formula One champion who recently announced his NASCAR debut, made his first laps in a Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra during a test at Gresham Motorsports Park in Georgia on Monday and Tuesday.

Raikkonen is scheduled to compete in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 20, 2011.

"I am looking forward to the first race at Charlotte," said Raikkonen. "It seems like KBM is a top team and I am excited to work with them."

The test was private with no media allowed and lap times were not released.

Current plans call for Raikkonen to compete in a handful of Truck Series races this season with sponsorship from Perky Jerky.
