Conoco Phillips Night at Deming Speedway saw Mother Nature finally acquiesce to racing conditions, as temperatures during the day led to a fast wide and smooth racetrack that left the drivers and fans excited. Jason Bloodgood highlighted the night with a wire to wire win in the 1200s, his third of the year. Other divisions were won by first time winners in their respective classes, with Brandon Turner, Kyle Mitchell and Lynden Lebedinski taking victories.
Jason Bloodgood led all 25 laps of the 1200 division main event to take his third win of the year. Jason beat brother-in-law Brock Lemley into turn one and never looked back, with only lapped traffic closing the distance between him and Brock. Derek Holmwood ended up third. Tom Waggoner, Frosty Metcalfe and Duane Mackey were heat winners. Brock Lemley set fast time.
Brandon Turner led all 25 laps of the Speedmart Hoosier 600 main event. Turner led off the initial start and planted his right rear on the cushion immediately, daring anyone to drive underneath him if they could. Brock Lemley challenged low over the middle portion of the race, but could never find the drive off of four to pull ahead. In the end it was Turner visiting victory lane for the first time in the 600 division, followed by Lemley and JR Thomas. Dustin O’Brien was quick time and won his heat. Other heat winners were Hayden Schmidt, Chase Schmidt and Lemley.
Kyle Mitchell found the slick surface to his liking in the 600 Restricted main event. Mitchell passed Nate Vaughn on lap 3 to take the lead, then streaked away from the field to win his first 600 Restricted win at Deming Speedway. Rachel Westmoreland was second and Jacob Brown third. Heats wins went to Brown, Vaughn and Westmoreland. Hannah Lindquist was quick time.
Lynden Lebedinski almost led every lap of the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprint main event en route to his first visit to victory lane at Deming Speedway. Lebedinski battled his way around Tyson Lemley for the lead on lap two then held of JJ Thomas and Isaac Abenroth for the victory. Heat races were won by Eli Schmidt and Jesse Schlotfeldt. Isaac Abenroth was quick time.
