Mother Nature knocked out the majority of racing on Friday night at Deming Speedway, but not before the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints got their A Feature in.
In the Kasey Kahne Junior division, Eli Schmidt ran away with the A Feature win, leading all 15 laps and crossing the start finish line by 1.3 seconds ahead of second place finisher Isaac Abenroth and third place finisher Ashleigh Johnson. Johnson was a heat race winner along with Darius Walker. Schmidt set quick time on the night.
Brock Lemley was on his way to another epic night in the Speedmart Hoosier 600 division before the wet weather hit. Lemley set quick time and won his heat race before events were called. The other three heats went to Jake Benson, Hayden Schmidt and Nate Vaughn.
In the 1200 class, Aaron Fell was the quick time car and heat races were won by Eric Drake, Randy Price and Eric Turner. Former Clay Cup Champion and Season Points Champion Derek Holmwood debuted a brand new car in preparation for next week's Clay Cup Nationals only to suffer motor woes in his heat.
Derrick Moss had set himself up for another deep run to the front of the field, as the youngster set quick time in the 600 Restricted class, then followed it up by rolling himself an 8 on the invert. Heat race wins went to Kyle Mitchell, Robie Price and Kelsey Carpenter.

The event starts Thursday July 21st and culminates on Saturday night with $40,000 in guaranteed purse money distributed between the 600 and 1200 divisions, including $7,500 to win in 600 class.
