Agassiz top 3 street stock special:

KEITH TOUROND
DEAN BRIDGE
MARK MCFAYDEN

Fourteen cars competed in the Street stock special at Agassiz on Saturday night.  Pole position Kelly Moto in the 48 car stayed out front for the first 5 laps and was quickly relegated down by lap ten where the 18 of Cameron graham took to leading. Murray Jones, #28 had the best time in but was foiled when his starter cable fell off and shorted out the electrical, ending his run early by lap ten. Following 18 closely, was the 44 of Keith Tourand, the #6 of dean Bridge, the 55 of Trent McArthur and the “X” of Paul Tourand. It stayed this order for the next 20 or so laps, until the 55 dropped almost  to the back after a confrontation with the number 8 of John Chatwin, and had to work his way up again. Unfortunately he ran into the back of another who brake checked too fast, and damaged his rad completely and pulled out by lap 47.

It was still 18 and 44 out front, but the “X” and 77 of Mark McFayden had moved to third and fourth respectively at the half way point. For the next 35 laps or so of clean driving, the order stayed consistent for the top 5, starting with 18, still leading, then  44,the X, the 77 and the 6 of Dean Bridge.

Then it got interesting in the last 12 laps.  The 18 of Cameron had to come in for a repair, (problem unknown at time of writing), and then was able to get out  later, but dropping him back to 5th. The “X” car of Paul had been able to climb comfortably into second for a short time and even first for a lap, when he too was plagued on lap 90, with his car stalling and needing a tow. It would have been his probably. With “X” out of it, on the restart with nine laps to go Keith had was now in front, followed by Dean Bridge and Mark McFayden. Earlier the #8 of John Chatwin tangled with a couple of cars, and the final straw came in lap 90 as well, when he tangled with car 6. He was awarded the black flag for the evening. So it ended with Paul taking the checkered, followed by Dean and Mark, with the #18 of Cameron coming in fourth. Later however, 18 was Dq’d due to being light at the scales at race end.
