43rd Annual WARPA Workshop

The 43rd Western Auto Racing Promoters Association (WARPA) annual meeting will be held on November 19th, and 20th in Portland, Oregon at the Airport Holiday Inn.  WARPA was formed in 1969 and had its first meeting in Pendalton, Oregon, and is one of the oldest Promoters association's in the country.  Promoters, track operators, racing clubs and series from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana as well as Canadian provinces British Columbia and Alberta converge once a year to discuss the previous year and set their schedules for the upcoming year.

Highlighting this years meetings are two keynote speakers  that are highly respected in the motorsports community, Tom Curley promoter of Thunder Road Speedway in Waterbury, Vermont, Curley is probably better known for running the Americian Canadian Tour (ACT) since 1986, he has always been an inovator in the sport, being one of the first series to go to a spec tire as well as spec engines. The other keynote speaker will be the Editor and Publisher of Speedway Illustrated Magazine Karl Fredrickson.
Fredrickson has won many awards over the years for his excellence in motorsports journalism.
