About a half hour ago, it was reported that AJ Allmendinger, driver of the No. 43 with Richard Petty Motorsports has been released from the No. 43, which seems to be due to an issue with retaining Best Buy as a sponsor. It's been stated that he's out of the No. 43 - but nothing has been said about leaving RPM.
The rumor mill is swirling that Kurt Busch may be placed in the No. 43 next year and this has some NASCAR fans enraged. No further information has been announced at this time, but when it is, I will most definitely update this article with all the details.
