On a perfect sun drenched Saturday night at Skagit Speedway Chad Hillier (410 Sprints), Kelsey Carpenter (360 Sprints), Tyler Fox (Sportsman Sprints) and Rick Young (Outlaw Hornets) found victory lane in the Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series.

Setting fast time for the 410 division was Eric Fisher in 11.458 seconds around the 3/10th mile high banked clay oval. Heat race winners were Eric Fisher and Jason Solwold. Chad Hillier led all 25 laps of the 410 main event on a wide and fast race track. The battle behind him for third place between Eric Fisher and Jason Solwold almost stole the thunder of the event. Barry Martinez finished second.

In the 360 division Trevor Turnbull again set fast time at 12.032. the heat race wins went to Alan Munn and Keith Jensen, with Jensen winning his first ever heat race. Kelsey Carpenter led all 25 laps of the main event followed by Kenny Rutz in his best finish of the season, Colton Heath, Justin Youngquist and Turnbull.

An interesting evening in the Sportsman Sprints started off with Steve Parker and Dylan Dunham getting heat race wins. A slew of yellow flags kept the early race leader Tyler Fox on high alert with Dunham and Parker on his tail tank each time they restarted. Tyler Fox wins at the line as he and Dunham got into traffic late in the race with Fox holding off Dunham on the final lap for his first ever main event win.

The Outlaw Hornets saw point leader Rick Young and Matt Ploeg win the heats. Young captured his third win of the year followed by Cliff Ballenger and Greg Hibma, Hibma finished the race on his roof but finished third.

Next week is the John Carroll Classic at ASA Member Track Skagit Speedway featuring all three divisions of Sprint cars, the Outlaw Hornets and the 2012 debut of the USAC Focus Midgets. Racing on Saturday night May 26th starts at 7:00 pm.
