Lemley Family Celebrates 33rd Year of Deming Speedway

Submitted by Kaleb Hart
The 33rd season of racing at Deming Speedway under the management of Paul and Bev Lemley commences Friday with all four classes slated for action. In the 1200 division, points champion Aaron Fell returns to defend his crown against the likes of multiple time and defending Clay Cup champion Brock Lemley, former points and Clay Cup champion Derek Holmwood and last years runner up Eric Drake. The Speedmart PMP 600 division came down to the wire last year, with JR Thomas picking up his second straight points title. Will Thomas be able to three-peat or will Kyle Johnson, Dustin O'Brien or another of the young lions in the class knock the champ off his pedestal? With defending 600 Restricted class champion Liam Ryan competing in the 1200 class this year, the door is wide open for a new face to stake his or her claim to the championship. The story stays the same in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints, as defending champion Tristin Thomas will be seeking championship glory in the restricted class, vacating a championship that could go to any handful of drivers. How will the story play out? The only way to find out is to join Deming Speedway every Friday night, with the gates opening at 5pm and racing beginning at 7pm.
