Officials with the Pacific Motorsports Group (PMG), formerly ARCA West and the new PMG Trick Series, a Super Late Model Touring series have announced that two shows that were scheduled to run at Evergreen Speedway have been canceled by the speedway’s operating group, High Road Productions.

In an email sent to PMG director Richard Michaud, Doug Hobbs of High Road Productions decided not to go through with the sanction agreements. Hobbs mentioned that Evergreen Speedway will be producing its own Late Model Events. Hobbs sighted concerns with guaranteed car count numbers as a reason for his company canceling their sanction agreement with PMG. In response to this email Michaud stated “the track has decided in favor of not honoring their signed agreement, which was agreed upon by both parties, for the May 28th and August 28th events because PMG will not guarantee car counts.” Michaud goes on to say “Car count numbers were never part of the signed contract.”

Michaud said that the cancelled Evergreen events will be rescheduled. The revamped series will kick off its 2011 season on June 4th at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval. The series will travel to Canada three times during the season and race in the US five times. Michaud is eager for the 2011 season to kick off. He said “I have talked with a number of drivers around the Northwest and they are excited about the season and the revised series.”

The revamped series continues to work with racers and teams, tracks, and sponsors to bring a solid Super Late Model series to the fans that crave the action. The rules have been opened to allow more competitors to races with the series. PMG improved race day procedures for the drivers and teams, and brought back at the track payouts to help the teams with their expenses. The goal of the new series is to put on the best show for the tracks and their promoters and showcase a quality entertainment product for their fans, all while helping the stars of the series to cut cost in racing.
