Pierre Bourque's #6 Revolution Resources-Fight Network-OCR Gas Bar Toyota |
Bourque is returning to the track following an enormously successful race outing last month at Talladega Superspeedway. It’s a race that Bourque certainly won’t ever forget. “What a tremendous race for our entire team at Talladega” said Bourque. “We ran up as high as third spot in the thirty nine card field and really showed what a great car the team prepared for me, and how much we grew together during the weekend” he added.
The testing session scheduled for Chicagoland Speedway should be similar to the Bourque also completed in the #6 Revolution Resources - Fight Network - OCR Gas Bar Toyota at Talladega. “It’s amazing how much you can learn from these track days” explained Bourque. “The team has a very structured approach with a number of set up changes we want to try on the car to gather as much data as possible during the time on the track”.
Feedback from the driver behind the wheel is a vital part of these test sessions and Bourque is well aware he must be on his game. “It’s a different kind of pressure” said the driver. “During a race of course the onus is on the driver to finish as high as he can. During these days where the team expects answers to some key questions you have to give them the feedback necessary so they can make improvements for future races. It’s a really great way to illustrate how much of a team sport racing is” he concluded.
“I’ll be out to get up to speed in the #6 Revolution Resources - Fight Network - OCR Gas Bar Toyota as quickly as possible to give the team as productive a day as possible” he added.
