This Saturday Night at Western Speedway, it’s Family Night presented by Galaxy Motors. For this special promotion, two adults and unlimited kids under 17 will be admitted for $20. The Island Stock Cars will compete in their fourth pints race of the year along with the IMS4 Mini Stocks and the IDCC Dwarf Cars.
The Island Series Stock Car division has a great point’s battle going as the top three are only separated by 22 points. Aaron Wilke leads the point standings by 17 point’s, over last weeks winner and defending point champion Ryan Wade, 542 to 525. Dave Reside sits in third place with 520 points. Dan Myers holds down fourth position with 469, closely followed by a pair of Rookie drivers tied for fifth Garrett Smith and Cody Auman at 461 points.
Alex Mouner will be gunning for his third main event win in a row on Saturday Night in the IMS4 Mini Stock Division. Mouner has a 46 point lead over Matt Szauer 509 to 463. Third through fifth are only separated by 19 points, Justin Woodske has 459 followed by Gilles Parenteau with 442 and Jeremy Waksel with 440.
The Island Dwarf Car Club returns for their third event of the year with Nanaimo’s Jim Pridge leading the way, Pridge won the opening race of the season on April 16th, over Mike Schott and Bruce Garside. The Dwarf Car count continues to grow as they were up to 10 cars at the May 14th race that was rained out.
The front gates open at 5:00 pm, qualifying at 6:00 and racing at 7:00 pm.
