We understand that Maryeve will become the first Canadian (from Sorel, Quebec) woman to ever compete in a Nationwide race when she gets behind the wheel in August for the Montreal Napa Auto Parts 200. It’ll also be Maryeve’s coming out party to the national NASCAR media. ESPN will carry the race live.
Dufault, 29, has been dabbling with ARCA this summer, but with NASCAR ratings dipping and fan interest waning, a female driver to rival Danica Patrick could be a dream scenario for the old boys.
