WENATCHEE, Washington — The Wenatchee Valley Super Oval
will be the place to be for racing this weekend in the Pacific
Northwest. The first ever Apple Blossom 200 Presented By Pepsi will
feature many of the Northwest best Late Model drivers as they battle it
out on the Fastest Quarter Mile in the Northwest.
The field will include drivers from Washington, Colorado, Montana,
British Columbia and Alberta. One of those drivers will be returning to
WVSO for the first time in 2 years. Gary Lewis
(Snohomish, WA) has won the Montana 200 and Idaho 200 multiple times,
but he would love to add an Apple Blossom 200 to his resume. “Wenatchee
has always been a great place to race, it’s been a couple of years since
I’ve raced there but the second groove should be in and we should have
some great side by side racing” Said Lewis.
2011 WVSO Big 5 Champion Todd Walters (East Wenatchee, WA) will look
to continue his success from last season for the 200. “This should be a
great race with a full field of drivers that can win. We look to
qualify well and get a great starting spot.” Also joining the field
fresh off his 2012 Apple Cup Victory is Owen Riddle (Naches, WA). “The
race is awesome opportunity especially with the PASS for Nashville. This
will be our first trip to Wenatchee but we are taking our set-up from
Montana and the success we had from there last year.”
The Winner of the APPLE BLOSSOM 200 is guaranteed a spot in the ALL
AMERICAN 400! PASS(Pro All Star Series) Officials will have a plaque for
the Winner awarding them the Automatic Qualifier spot. If the Winner of
the APPLE BLOSSOM 200 is unable/unwilling to go to the ALL AMERICAN
400, The spot will be made available to others in the Top 3 Finishers
The All American 400 attracted drivers from all over North America and saw such legendary winners as Darrell Waltrip and Rusty Wallace. With PASS, that heritage will return in 2012.

country to host this great addition to an already exciting weekend of
Racing.” Lacey Evans WVSO General Manager said “All the drivers and fans
are excited for racing season to start back up here in the Wenatchee
